Welcome to our Stable
We are a conveniently located facility that prides itself on providing top quality equine care. To help ensure this goal is meant, we have a dedicated staff that cares for each horse as if it were our own. Our stable is operated based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance and as a result, a high percentage of our training business has come from repeat customers and referrals.
Cheerio Acres is a multi-discipline stable, welcoming riders of all ages and styles, whether for show or pleasure. We firmly believe that the horse is an extremely intelligent creature and as a result deserves the highest amount of respect in handling, as often problems are the result of a simple miscommunication. As a facility with the goal of furthering this clear working bond between horse and rider, we encourage a consistent schooling or lesson schedule to help develop a consistant communication base for training. In turn, a discount on boarding services is provided for those who take advantage of our training and lesson packages.

Facilities and Amenities
Our facilities are located in beautiful South Haven, Michigan. We are easy to get to, just less than a mile from the US-31/I-196 expressway on Phoenix Road. Our hope is that you find our stable to be as comfortable as possible for both yourself and your horse. We offer the following amenities at our facilities:
- 15 stalls in the main barn
Most are 10' x 10', with some large 20' x 12' also available.
- Our hay supply is stored in a separate barn
This precaution, along with the regular removable of cobwebs,
prevents a high-risk fire hazard situation and improves air quality.
- Indoor arena 60' x 132'
Our indoor is well lit and has mirrors positioned at five different points
along the wall to help rider's evaluate themselves during schooling. The
footing is kept level, watered, and ready to ride at your convenience.
- Outdoor riding area 80' x 210'
- Access to trails around the property and located near a
Kal-Haven horse trail entrance point
- Heated tack room
Our tack room is maintained at 60* during the winter months to
prevent damage to your tack, as well as for the comfort of the rider.
- Heated viewing room and lounge area
This area has a large window looking into the indoor arena, and a small
kitchen complete with refrigerator and microwave. We also have
separate shower facilities and a restroom located inside the lounge.
- Hot and cold water are available in the tack room, lounge area,
and the wash rack area.
